AISI 302B stainless steel consists of (in mass percentage) 0.15% carbon (C), 2.00% manganese (Mn), 2.0-3.0% silicon (Si), 17.0-19.0% chromium (Cr), 8.0-10.0% nickel (Ni), 0.045% phosphorus (P), 0.03% sulfur (S) and the base metal iron (Fe).
Stainless steel AISI 302B is known for its corrosion resistance, allowing it to be used in various environments. It is suitable for forming forged products and has received recognition from consumers for its corresponding properties. This grade of metal is usually used in piping systems. Stainless steel AISI 302 B is also used for the production of sheet metal, wire and fasteners, as its chemical composition includes 17.0 - 19.0% chromium (Cr), which provides good corrosion resistance, and 8.0 - 10.0% nickel (Ni), which increases its ductility and toughness.
