Stainless Steel Elbow

The price is influenced by many factors that the buyer needs to pay attention to when choosing and buying Stainless steel elbows:
⓵ grade of stainless steel from which the elbow is made (the most common are AISI 201, AISI 304, AISI 304L, AISI 316, AISI 316L, AISI 321 - they can be conditionally divided into stainless steel elbows technical, food, acid-resistant). The higher the percentage of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum, the higher the cost.
⓶ external / internal surface treatment: (matte, 2B, polishedй, electropolished, mirror or supermirror - 400 grit, 600 grit, 800 grit, gloss / glossy, grinding or satin - 4N, 180 grit, 240 grit, 320 grit). The higher the quality and cost of the surface, the higher the price.
⓷ type / manufacturing method: welded, solid-drawn, forged, curved, sharply curved, bent, seamed, seamless, cast. Each of the methods involves certain costs in the manufacture of the bend, which is ultimately reflected in its price.
⓸ weight (theoretical weight) of one branch: the more weight - the more expensive the price for 1 (one) stainless steel elbow. The weight is directly affected by the size (sizes) of the elbow(s): wall thickness (thin-walled / thick-walled), diameter, length.
⓹ type of connection with a pipe, between itself or another product: stainless steel elbow for welding (for soldering) - this is the cheapest option. Threaded stainless steel elbow (under thread) with internal / external thread, under clamp (under clamp connection, under union), with flange (under flange), insert (under insert) - more expensive.
⓺ cross section shape. Modern production of stainless steel bends allows us to create and manufacture bends of different shapes: round (for a round pipe), square (for square profile pipe), rectangular (for rectangular profile pipe), oval / flat-oval (for oval / flat-oval pipe). The shape (round, square, rectangular, oval stainless steel elbow) affects the cost of elbows, since the costs of their production differ from each other. Elbows with a variable cross-section are separately identified and classified (transition elbow / adapter - two in one) - allows you to go from a pipeline of a larger diameter / cross-section to a smaller one or vice versa.

Elbow stainless steel AISI 201 is an elbow made of steel grade AISI 201 (analogue EN 1.4371 | DIN X2CrMnNiN17-7-5). Its peculiarity is that its price is much cheaper than that of similar bends made of 300 grade stainless steel, but at the same time, it is in no way inferior in a number of characteristics:
➖ non-magnetic;
➖ has high strength, plasticity and rigidity;
➖ low thermal conductivity;
➖ resistant to corrosion in moderately aggressive environments;
➖ welds and polishes well;

This is a elbow made of high-grade food grade stainless steel AISI 304 (food, dairy). This elbow / turn is characterized by a very low carbon content. The bend is widely used in the food industry and can be installed in an environment that has an oxidizing nature. The stainless steel bend is an analogue EN 1.4301, DIN X5CrNi18-10 , EN 1.4541, DIN X6CrNiTi18-10.

As you can see from the list above, most bends are thin-walled with a wall thickness of 1.5 mm and an angle of 90° (ninety). The radius and length vary greatly depending on the diameter.
