A stainless steel flange - is a stainless steel product that resembles a ring, disk or plate, having a round, square, rectangular, oval or other shaped hole in the central part of its plane, as well as several evenly spaced small holes for fastening bolts, studs, screws, etc. The main purpose is a strong and reliable connection of a stainless steel pipe structure with a flat surface: floor, wall, ceiling, road or sidewalk surface. The pipe or branch is welded to the flange on one side, on the other side the entire structure is fixed to the surface using fasteners. The connection point is closed with a decorative stainless steel cup, a cover of the appropriate shape and size, which significantly improves the aesthetic appearance of the entire structure.

It is not recommended to use flanges made of materials that have the ability to form rust when making stainless steel railing posts and handrails. Although the joint is covered with a decorative overlay, cup, lid and it will not be visible. But over time, even in a dry, non-humid room, not to mention the street, rust from a flange made of black metal (even galvanized, painted, varnished or treated with a special anti-corrosion agent) will begin to spread over the surface of the stainless steel pipe post and the structure will not only lose its beautiful aesthetic appearance, but may subsequently irreparably damage the entire structure. Stainless steel flanges differ in shape, size and grade of stainless steel. The flange is selected mainly for a stainless steel pipe. For example, if your design includes a rack made of a round pipe, then the flange should also be round with a round hole for the pipe of the corresponding outside diameter. If the rack or any element of the design that requires connection / welding with a flange is made of a square, rectangular, oval profile pipe, then the flange should be of the appropriate shape and a hole with a cross-section corresponding to the cross-section of the pipe. Also, when choosing, pay attention to the thickness of the flange, the size / diameter of the holes for fastening. Choose the right grade of stainless steel from which the flange is made.
