This is a round welded stainless steel pipe with a diameter of 25 mm, a wall thickness of 1 mm, with a mirror polished surface and made of AISI 201 steel. The inner diameter of such a pipe is 23 mm. 600 GRIT indicates the level of polishing of the outer surface of the pipe and means a very smooth mirror surface. This is achieved by mechanical treatment (grinding and polishing) with abrasive materials with a grain size of 600. AISI 201 is a stainless steel grade (AISI: American Iron and Steel Institute). It is an austenitic stainless steel that is a cheaper alternative to the more common AISI 304. It has good corrosion resistance in mild conditions, but is less resistant to corrosion than AISI 304, especially in aggressive environments containing chlorides. Pipes of this brand are not recommended for use in direct contact with sea water, chlorides or other aggressive chemicals.
