This is a welded round tube made of AISI 201 stainless steel. The outer diameter of the tube is 54 millimeters. The wall thickness of the tube is 1.5 millimeters. 51 mm is its inner diameter. 600 GRIT is the level of polishing of the outer surface, which gives the tube a mirror shine. This finish is often called "mirror" or "glossy". The tube is made of AISI 201 stainless steel, which is an austenitic chromium-manganese-nickel stainless steel. It contains less nickel than AISI 304, which is partially replaced by manganese and nitrogen. This makes it a cheaper alternative, but with slightly lower corrosion resistance, especially in aggressive environments. It is not recommended for use in aggressive chloride environments such as swimming pools, sea water or places with a high concentration of salts. When choosing a tube, it is important to consider the conditions of its operation. If high corrosion resistance is required, it is better to choose a pipe made of AISI 304 steel. If the operating conditions are not aggressive, a pipe made of AISI 201 can be a cost-effective option.
