This is a round welded stainless steel pipe with an outer diameter of 76.1 mm. The pipe wall thickness is 1.5 mm (this parameter indicates the thickness of the metal from which the pipe is made). The inner diameter = 73.1 mm. 600 GRIT means very fine grain, which provides a mirror-like outer surface. This treatment gives the pipe an aesthetic appearance and increases its corrosion resistance. AISI 304 is one of the most common grades of stainless steel, known for its high corrosion resistance, good weldability and formability. A 76.1x1.5 mm pipe made of AISI 304 is significantly more resistant to corrosion than AISI 201, especially in aggressive environments containing chlorides (e.g., sea water, salt solutions). AISI 304 contains more nickel, which determines its better anti-corrosion properties and higher cost.
