CPM S30V is a martensitic stainless steel designed to provide the best combination of strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Its chemical composition has been specially balanced to promote the formation of vanadium carbides, which are harder and more effective than chromium carbides in providing wear resistance. CPM S30V provides significant improvement in strength over other high-hardness steels such as 440C and D2, and its corrosion resistance is equal to or greater than 440C in a variety of environments.

CPM S35VN is a martensitic stainless steel designed to provide improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. Its chemical composition has been rebalanced so that it forms some niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Replacing the niobium carbides with some vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN approximately 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without losing wear resistance.

CPM S45VN is a martensitic stainless steel designed to provide improved corrosion and wear resistance over CPM S35VN. Its chemical composition has been rebalanced so that it forms more chromium carbides while leaving more free chromium in the matrix. The use of niobium and nitrogen in place of some of the vanadium and carbon provides an excellent combination of edge retention, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and toughness, making it an ideal choice for knife steel.

CPM S60V is a corrosion-resistant, highly wear-resistant stainless tool steel manufactured by crucible metallurgy. It is essentially a 440C martensitic stainless steel enriched with a uniform dispersion of very fine vanadium carbides for exceptional wear resistance.

CPM 20CV is a unique tool steel manufactured using crucible metallurgy. It is a martensitic stainless steel with a high content of vanadium carbides for exceptional wear resistance. The steel contains the highest amount of chromium of all high vanadium stainless steels available today.

N690 is a cobalt-alloyed martensitic stainless steel produced by Böhler - Uddeholm AG. The steel has an original chemical composition that stands out from other grades of similar steels. One of the main differences of N690 stainless steel is that it contains 1.5% cobalt, which increases the heat resistance of the steel and has a strong effect on its mechanical properties.
