600 Series Stainless Steel
600 series stainless steel - is a series of stainless steel alloys that have excellent mechanical properties and offer the desired combination of high strength and good machinability. 600 series stainless steel alloys are used where resistance to corrosion and high temperatures is required. Another advantage of 600 steel is that the higher nickel content provides a lower susceptibility to stress corrosion cracking in the annealed condition.
