Inconel 617 | AISI 617 | Alloy 617 | EN 2.4663 | DIN NiCr23Co12Mo | Nicrofer 5520 Co | UNS N06617 is a nickel-chromium alloy with additives of molybdenum and cobalt. It has excellent characteristics, strength and resistance to corrosion formations. Neutral to the effects of a large number of chemicals and aggressive environments. It is well suited for processing and welding.
Inconel 617 is a high-performance alloy that offers a unique combination of high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and creep resistance. Its excellent properties make it a preferred material for demanding applications in various industries.
Alloy density (specific gravity) = 8.36 g/cm3.
Anti-corrosion properties
It exhibits excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance against oxidation and carburization under thermally constant or variable conditions up to 1100 °C. These properties, combined with its extreme strength, make the alloy suitable for use at high temperatures.
Welding
It is possible to weld similar and many other metals using traditional welding methods. This includes types such as non-consumable, consumable electrode welding, plasma, electron beam and electric welding. In gas-electric welding, pulse technology is mainly used.
Features and benefits
The alloy has good short-term and long-term mechanical properties up to 1100 °C and excellent oxidation resistance up to 1100 °C. Good weldability and excellent resistance to carburization up to 1100 °C.
