AISI 301LN | EN 1.4318 | DIN X2CrNiN18-7 - is an austenitic stainless steel similar to austenitic stainless steel grade AISI 301L with a high degree of hardness.
But the low carbon content of AISI 301LN improves ductility and weldability of heavy parts. 301LN has a higher nitrogen content to compensate for the lower carbon content.

AISI 301L and AISI 301LN are specific versions of AISI 301. They are characterized by a low carbon content and a higher nitrogen content than grade 301. The higher nitrogen content in 301LN compensates for the lower carbon content.

AISI 301LN | EN 1.4318 is used in structures and components where corrosion resistance and a combination of high mechanical strength and good formability are required. Due to its tendency to harden, this grade of stainless steel can absorb increased amounts of energy during deformation. It can be produced in rolled condition with different strength levels.
