Processing

Hot deformation: temperature 1150 °C - 900 °C, air cooling. Solution bonding: temperature 1000 °C - 1100 °C, water and air cooling.

Welding

This alloy can be successfully welded by conventional fusion and resistance methods, but should not be joined by oxyacetylene welding. The use of filler metal is recommended if necessary.

Forging

Before forging, hold for 1 hour at 1177 °C. Do not work at temperatures below 1010 °C. After-work treatment with a solution is required before final hardening.
