Stainless Steel Grade AISI 316N | S31651
Stainless Steel Grade AISI 316N | S31651

AISI 316N | S31651 is a standard austenitic stainless steel grade containing molybdenum. It has excellent formability and excellent welding characteristics. It has found quite wide application in various industries, architecture and transport. AISI 316N is a non-hardened austenitic steel with a carbon content of 0.08%.

It has higher strength than the normal AISI 316 type. Good corrosion resistance to most chemicals, salts and acids and works well in marine environments.

Designed for primary forming of deformed products. Although it is non-magnetic when annealed, it can become slightly magnetic when cold worked.

The alloy has the same processing properties as stainless steel types AISI 302 and AISI 304, which means it can be easily rolled, stamped and formed.
