Super Duplex EN 1.4410 | F53, S32750 | DIN X2CrNiMoN25-7-4 is a duplex stainless steel specially developed for operation in aggressive chlorine-containing environments. It has good resistance to localized corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in combination with high mechanical strength.

The steel is designed for applications requiring exceptional strength and corrosion resistance, such as chemical process equipment, petrochemicals and seawater. The steel has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, high thermal conductivity and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. The high content of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen provides excellent resistance to pitting, crevice and general corrosion.

EN 1.4410 duplex stainless steel is difficult to form because it contains tungsten, chromium, nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen. This combination makes it very vulnerable to manufacture without intermetallic phases. If intermetallic phases are formed during the manufacture of grade 1.4410 plate material, it becomes very vulnerable to impacts.

Heating super duplex grades in solution to approximately 1050 degrees Celsius makes them suitable for high temperature applications. This material is recommended in the gas and oil industries where feedstock lines contain intense heat processes.

Cold rolled sheet steel EN 1.4410 | F53, S32750 | DIN X2CrNiMoN25-7-4 can be used in applications where maximum precision is required. Due to the cold rolled properties of the material, it can be easily drawn at room temperature. After giving it the desired shape, the product can be annealed to give additional strength.

Welding

The weldability of EN 1.4410 Duplex is excellent. The most common welding methods are manual arc welding with coated electrodes or gas-shielded arc welding. Welding should be carried out in the heat input range of 0.2-1.5 kJ/mm and with an interpass temperature of not more than 150 °C.
